Essence Fest Cocktail Vibes
What does relaxation mean to you? To me, it means lounging poolside while having a couple of cocktails with friends. As you know, I don’t really get the opportunity to catch up with my friends because I’m always so busy working. Well, this trip was a little different because I had the pleasure of mixing work and play, so it was all worth it!
This past weekend, I attended the Essence Festival for the first time. It was absolutely so much fun, but it was also quite overwhelming. I think it was probably because I overbooked myself between my gig and my friends. You know how it is when you make plans to hang out with the friends you rarely see, you begin to feel all kinds of pressure when you think you can’t make it.
After my gig on Saturday, I was finally able to invite some friends to join me poolside to kick it and enjoy a couple of cocktails. Our drink of choice was the Viniq Ruby Delicious! It really was just a perfect choice, because my friends had also been running around New Orleans trying to make the Essence Fest happen, so they too knew how much we needed to relax and refuel with something tasty and beautiful. The Ruby Delicious was fitting to say the least! That gorgeous shimmer and fruity refreshing taste was exactly what I needed to kick start the night.
If you’re feeling the same way after this long weekend, here’s the recipe for Ruby Delicious cocktail:
Ruby Delicious:
2 oz. Viniq Ruby
2 oz. Cider or Apple Ale
1 oz. Ginger Beer
Method:
Chill all ingredients prior to serving, serve together, garnish with a lime and enjoy!
This cocktail recipe was perfect for the Essence Fest vibes! The music was right, the people around me were great, and most importantly I felt like I got my moment to relax. We also counted this as our little pregame before the night began!
Since we’re on the topic of setting the mood, you should check out all of Viniq’s recipes at bringtheshimmer.com and be sure to share your creations using #Bringtheshimmer! I can’t wait to see what you guys come up with! #ViniqSquad
Remember, it’s okay to refuel by having “me” time. It’s good for peace of mind!
Thank you to Viniq for sponsoring this post. As always, all opinions are mine.
