As a person with dry curly hair, I need to make sure my curls are ALWAYS moisturized. Part of my regimen includes a weekly hair mask and with the amount of hair I have + the frequency in which I apply masks, this can get expensive. My go-to mask is a DIY concoction with just 2 simple ingredients that can be found in your kitchen– Olive Oil & Honey!

Step 1: Combine 4 table spoons of honey with 6 table spoons of olive oil, set aside. (You can adjust this amount as necessary for your hair, with the same ratio of honey:oil)

Step 2: Detangle and separate your hair into four quadrants using hair ties.

Step 3: Coat each section really well with the mask.

Step 4: Tie all of your hair up with either a hair clip or hair tie and cover with either a shower cap or plastic bag. (This step is important!! This will keep the heat in your hair and help avoid making everything around you a greasy, sticky mess!)

Step 5: Leave this on your hair for 30 mins – 1 hr and then wash as normal.
