The Layover (Miami Edition)

Now that Art Basel is in my rear and i have somewhat of a clear mind, i think it’s the perfect time to give you the 411 on this months Layover! Here goes nothing ( this is exactly what i thought when i was waiting for people to actually show up to the party)!

For whatever reason, my impetuous a** thought i could put together a party a couple of days before Art Basel. Its like i go through this often when i think I’m superhuman and can do a million things without a realistic timeline. Fortunately for me i have an amazing manager, and amazing friends who assisted me in pulling this off.

For those of you who weren’t able to catch a glimpse of where the party took place, let me put you on! This specific Layover took place at The Marsielle Hotel located at 1741 Collins Ave. If you happen to be in Miami i highly suggest you go check out their backyard. When i say they had everything you would want at a party, THEY HAD IT ALL! Life-size Jenga, life-size checkers, life-size twister (not the plastic kind), ping pong, hammocks, day beds, cabanas, food , drinks, an amazing pool you name it! You can see for yourself in some of the photos.

The vibes were perfect for a Sunday, considering people were worn out after looking at a weeks worth of art and lots of partying. I have to send a special thanks to one of my good friends Pierre for co-hosting+ showcasing some of his best photo work at my party, and another special thanks to my dogs Lou Banga, and Siobhan Bell for providing the vibes during the party. They had it rocking!

Let’s refer to this months ‘Layover’ as a reunion because people i hadn’t seen since middle school came through and showed love. Actually, there was someone from every chapter of my life that showed up. It was crazy! Thank you all again!
