Every now and then, our faces need some pampering. Nowadays you don’t necessarily have to see an aesthetician in order to treat yourself. Thats right. You can do it from the comfort of your own home with a good ol’ fashioned face mask. Wearing makeup on a regular basis along with everyday pollutants in the air can seriously clog your pores and put your skin through some major stress so developing a good detoxing and deep cleansing routine is a must. Doing so will give you that radiant glow we all so desire and remove all the guck and dead skin cells that collect in our pores and on our faces (gross, right?!).
I happen to love masks and I’m pretty consistent with my weekly routine. I’ve seen such an improvement in my skin since I’ve become dedicated to masking regularly. I break out much less and the overall texture of my skin is way smoother and youthful in appearance. I also really enjoy the ritual of making my own all-natural masks, it can be very therapeutic!
There are literally hundreds of face masks on the market right now and it’s very easy to become overwhelmed while trying to find the perfect one (or two) for you. My advice would be to first, determine your skin concerns- Is your skin feeling dry? You may need a hydrating mask. Is your skin looking dull? Perhaps an exfoliating mask is right for you. Acne prone? A clay mask might help with that. Do you have oily skin and impurities? Maybe a charcoal mask is the way to go. The list goes on and on. Because there are so many amazing masks to choose from (high-end and drugstore) you can be sure to find one that not only works for your individual skin concerns but is also within your price range. Below is a list of my favorite masks right now (high and low-end).
Note: I have oily/combination skin.
