Aren’t you just so in love with chocolate & a splash of color dropped on top? Well for Made In America 2015, I decided to spice up Brittany Sky’s usual look & add some funky color.
Almost a month ago, she came to me with the idea of wanting to embrace an alter ego for the festival & we both thought: “What a better way to do it other than a wig?” At first, I was like “OMG, this is going to take years to finish” and then I ended up wanting to do it because I felt like she needed a change, lol! So I called up a few different hair companies to send over hair to use for this “alter ego’d” look & from there the ball began rolling. Mixing Manic Panics “Pretty Flamingo” and “Psychedelic Sunset” I was ready to whip up this shade of orange/peach for the pain in the butt you guys know as Brittany Sky. At first it was a disaster!!! I ended up using too much of one color because I decided to show her the process of coloring and of course she had comments! “Maybe we should add a little more orange,” she said. Even though I knew it was perfect, I decided to listen and that hair ended up looking like Halloween Horror. So I had to run to the local Walgreens, pick up more bleach and re-bleach the hair over & over [DO NOT TRY THIS AT HOME] to get the perfect shade. I even cried a little because I was so stressed and pressed for time; oh I forgot to mention, I was coloring the hair the night before the festival in the hotel (adds stressed Emoji). BUT by the Grace of God, I was able to achieve the perfect shade we were looking for and put that bad boy on her head & voila…there’s your ‘Littany Sky’
Felt amazing when we were walking down the street to enter the festival and all you heard was “OMG, I love you hair” or “Your hair is gorgeous!”
Hair is like the period to the sentence & if it isn’t right, the statement will not be fulfilled! Lookout for more ‘Littany Sky’ looks coming your way!
