Why You Should Invest In A Beauty Blender
January 5, 2017

When I first started learning how to do my own makeup I only used brushes or my hands. I was satisfied with that(so I thought). Then I started to hear about The Original Beauty Blender Sponge from multiple Youtube beauty guru’s. They were raving about how flawlessly the sponge blended out makeup with each pounce. I wasn’t sold and when I went to Sephora to meet this infamous sponge face to face and saw that it was $20 I was even more turned off. I could get a beauty sponge for about $5 at the drug store and it will work just the same. Right?

I was satisfied with how the other version of the beauty sponge worked however, I still didn’t see what made everyone so crazy over the sponge concept.  One day I was in Sephora and I decided to purchase it after putting it off for a full year. I had an event to go to that night and wanted to test it out. I wet my new Beauty Blender and squeezed out the excess (must be used damp). I applied  foundation on my face and started to dab THE sponge just like I learned in the tutorials. After which I was SPEECHLESS! Totally speechless. I had the most flawless and streak-free application ever. Who knew that this little egg shaped sponge could do that? I was mad at myself for waiting so long. You can use it to apply your foundation, cream blush, tinted moisturizer, liquid highlighter, primers, powders, and any other complexion product.

The Beauty Blender is now a very important irreplaceable addition to makeup collection. If you are on the fence about purchasing this sponge I’d say take the plunge and buy it. You won’t be disappointed!

I love the beauty blender as well, I haven’t used a brush to apply foundation in about a year. I have about 5 of them! The Black & Nude beauty blender are the best. The Black beauty blender is considered to be the Pro Beauty Blender.

Hi Joan, I absolutely love it. The black one is my favorite. I feel like it doesn’t absorb as much product as the pink one.
